Across the Pyrenees
The cultures of France and Spain influence on one another are depicted in these works.

Christopher Laughlin, Guitar

Two of history's richest cultures, France and Spain, and their fascinating influence upon one another promise another afternoon of dazzling, dynamic music! The national "voice" of each nation is represented by the passion and majesty of Turina's Procession and the patriotic swagger of Bizet's Patrie. And what could be a more satisfying combination of the two styles than Ravel's thrilling and hypnotic Bolero?

The distinguished guitarist Christopher Laughlin makes his NSO debut with Rodrigo's beloved Concierto de Aranjuez.
