The season finale of our 46th season contains two giant masterworks of the 19th century. In the first half, the Chicagoland-raised Joshua Brown returns to the Northbrook Symphony to play Brahms’ momentous Violin Concerto, the work that brought Joshua huge success at the Queen Elisabeth Competition. After intermission, Maestro Mina Zikri closes the season with the revolutionary “Eroica” Symphony of Beethoven, the work that launched the Romantic era of music in a blaze of Sturm und Drang.
